According to reading in 2017 spanned 25 days and featured 53,232 performances of 3,398 shows in 300 different Places. It was first introduced in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival, it takes place each year in the month of August in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is an open access, It means that everyone can perform in this festival if he or she wants to perform in this performing arts festival, meaning there is no selection committee, and anyone may participate, with any type of performance. The official Fringe Programme categorizes shows into sections for theatre, comedy, dance, children’s shows, musicals, opera, physical theatre, circus (my interested one), and cabaret, music for the musician, spoken word, exhibitions and events and much more. One of the biggest section of this festival is Comedy and the one that in modern times has the highest public profile, due in part to the Edinburgh Comedy
